We window shopped at local home inmprovement stores for a replacement sink after our porcelain covered steel sink chipped badly. First I bought a vitreous china sink by American standard. The drain was malformed and the rubber gasket couldn't seal it so it leaked horribly. we went back to the local store and exchanged it for another of the same make and model. While less malformed it was still leaking terribly. I swore to never buy another American Standard product since their quality control was so poor.
None of the local stores had another brand with a vitreous china sink model we liked so I checked Amazon and found this Brookline sink by Kohler. The price seemed too good to be true compared to similar sinks we found locally but weren't quite right style (about $25 less than expected even after shipping). So I ordered two of them since we had already picked out Kohler faucets locally.
I had never bought something like a sink from Amazon before and was a bit skeptical. But the sinks arrived in about a week in perfect shape, all the fittings, instructions, and not the slightest chip or defect.
These sinks are PERFECT. They are simple yet elegant and of the highest quality material and workmanship. I enjoy them every time I wash or shave at my sink. After the two disasters working with defective product from American Standard it was a pure joy to work with such quality product from Kohler. The precision and sturdiness of Kohler prodcuts instill confidence in my work, and never disappoint.
Kohler is worth every penny and is even a bargain for the value given. And purchasing through Amazon was exemplary as always. The price was great, the shipping was fast, and there were no credit card errors. I have purchased several things from smaller specialty vendors and they always seem to screw up by double billing my credit card or something. Amazon and Kohler made this a great purchase.
