(More customer reviews)I replaced my decrepit bathroom faucet with a spiffy bar faucet (my most brilliant idea lately) but of course bar faucets do not have built-in stopper mechanisms. One can buy separate stoppers for such faucets that look quite nice, but all seem to require replacing the tailpiece of the sink (the pipe connected to the drain), and having just replumbed much of my house, I was ready to just be done!. The white rubber or plastic stoppers seemed to be the only option until I saw this item. Unlike the usual separate-from-the-faucet stoppers, it requires no plumbing changes- you just stuff it down the drain hole. The toggle on top opens and closes the valve without removing or lifting the stopper itself. It comes with two sets of seals to fit various standard drain sizes. Swapping the installed set for the alternate required a slight application of manual dexterity and thought but was quickly accomplished.
On the plus side, it is shiny chrome (which matches my faucet), it is very easy to install and use, and it's more attractive than those white rubber plugs.
On the negative side, it's just a bit clunky looking, and the raised product name on top collects soap scum so it needs a bit of toothbrush work to keep it really clean looking.
