One very important thing to note is that this hook won't actually hold a towel (neither bath towel nor hand towel). The smooth horizontal prongs don't grip anything and the towel slides right off. I tried light and heavy towels. The only way the towel will stay on is if you roll up the edge and use friction to push the towel into the niche.
It's too bad because I have the faucet and wanted matching hooks. Oh well!
I think this hook would work if you wanted to hang something that had a built-in loop (e.g. robe or face towel).
