(More customer reviews)I got this to replace the original seat that came with my old low-profile American Standard toilet. The style was Roma, I believe. I was hesitant at first because the seat I was replacing was made over 20 years ago so I wasn't sure if this new seat would fit well. I called American Standard to confirm this was the right seat and they did. So I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived, I was relieved to find it was the exact match to my old Roma toilet seat. It's the same design, but the plastic was lighter. It also appeared to be stronger. Because the bumper guards and toilet seat were together in one piece and from the same mold, it probably wouldn't suffer the same fate as my old one did. The bumper guards in my original seat were screwed in, making the seat weak in the areas where the guards were fastened. So after many accidental drops of the seat onto the edge of the toilet bowl over the years, the seat eventually cracked around those screw holes. This was why I replaced my old toilet seat. Hopefully, with the improved design of the new seat, cracks like this won't happen again.
