(More customer reviews)I am remodeling all 3 bathrooms and was looking at the top end faucets as I learned from past experience that the cheaper facets that you get the home big box stores are very cheap and poorly made. So spoke to several plumbers and contractors, and they all told me the same thing, you will pay more for the top end brands, but it will definitely be worth it, as the lest expensive brands will break and cost you more in the end. Plus the cheaper makes are mostly plastic or have steel internals and plastic threads.
I was looking at the Hansgrohe version of this same faucet (the Grohe looks very similar) and by accident saw this Grohe on Amazon. I checked on line at the big faucet "discounters" on line and on ebay and Amazon had the best price. Plus it was Amazon, so I knew if there was any problem I could get it resolved quickly as opposed to some store or seller in Botswana.
I have a Grohe faucet in my kitchen, so I know the quality would be outstanding and that internally, it would be single solid piece of machined brass with hard copper connections.
The faucets arrived in 3 days and upon inspection are what I expected of Grohe; heavy, excellent quality and excellent finish. The faucets came with instructions, matching drain pop up assembly (again solid brass) and a face plate if needed.
The only thing I would mention is that the connections from the faucet are a 3/8" compression, not the standard 1/2" compression fitting as most other brands. If you have existing 3/8" compression x 1/2" compression hoses, you can get 1/2" compression to 3/8" compression unions at Home depot.
