(More customer reviews)We installed this Delta faucet in our kitchen sink a few weeks ago. We have a family of five and tend to use the kitchen sink heavily, so our old faucet and sink had just reached their end-of-life.
Here are the things I like about the Delta Arabella:
1) It looks great.
2) It was easy to install. I especially like that the connection hoses built into the faucet are really long so most people probably won't even need any additional hoses.
3) I like the magnet in the pull-down sprayer since that keeps the sprayer in place and seems like it will last longer than other methods.
At first glance, it would seem that Delta has a real winner here; but our family is having some issues with the operation of the sink - which is why I'm only giving it two stars.
The first, and most serious issue, is the sensitivity of the faucet handle. It has to be in exactly the right position to be turned off - so our kids often leave it slightly on with a little drip. I've even done it myself; although I tend to pay more attention than a nine-year-old so I have noticed when I do it:). As a side note, it is also a bit hard to get the correct water pressure and temperature since the handle has a limited range of motion and is very sensitive.
The second issue we've had is related to the sprayer setting. It can be switched between normal faucet mode and sprayer mode, which is great; but the sprayer head doesn't revert back to normal mode when it's turned off. Because of this, I often turn the sink on expecting a normal stream of water and end up with water sprayed all over the place.
The final issue is probably only our personal preference; but it has to do with the side placement of the handle on the sink. The side-mounted handle looks great, but it isn't very practical when cooking or cleaning up. It seems like my wrong hand is always full and I have to reach under the faucet head to turn the sink on/off. Like I said, this is just personal preference but I thought I should mention it.
I also want to mention that we've been really happy with Delta faucets that we've put into our bathrooms so this review shouldn't be read as negative toward Delta in general - only this specific faucet.
We will keep this faucet since we already threw the box away; but I wouldn't recommend it to people with kids or people who use their kitchen frequently.
