I remodeled my bathroom and bought a new moen handle and showerhead kit, little did iI know the kit came with a new vavle that was supposed to be installed before I put up new walls and tile. Long story short, the new hardware wouldnt line up with the old moen standard valve. This service kit saved the day. If not for this I would have had to cut a hole in the wall and replace the valve.
