The towel rack/bar we had was the kind that is adhered to the the wall along with the tile. Most towel racks assume you can take down at least one of the ends to install the towel bar, but that wasn't the case with ours.
The towel bar arrived safely. I was able to easily cut the bar to the proper length with a hacksaw. I attached the included springy ends and installed the bar. It appears that it isn't as thick as the old bar, but it looks good enough for me.
** As stated above, this bar COMES WITH THE SPRINGY ENDS! I'm not sure why "they" suggest adding additional ones to your cart. Safe yourself the money and just get the towel bar. **
In case you didn't notice, the W in the product number means "white color", there is another CLR one that is clear.
