(More customer reviews)This sink, when mated to the recommended Decolav 9297-CP drain, requires an additional concave washer to go between the countertop and sink, sealing water in the cavity between the double-wall sink and the drain overflow. Without this, water can get into the area of the hole through the countertop...mine is granite, so no permanent damage, but it did leak out through the washer below the countertop.
Neither the sink nor drain kit came with this washer. When I called Decolav customer service, the rep acknowledged this was an issue, and mailed me a washer. Since the washer does not appear to be an easy to find item, it seems incredible to me that they don't provide it. Nothing in the instructions hinted at the need for another washer. If I had installed this in a wood material countertop, I probably would have ruined it.
Now that the sink is in place, it looks great...there is a minor polishing blemish on the rim. Also, it rings like a bell if you tap it with something hard...I think it should have been filled with some sort of foam, except for the overflow path.
