The color of the wood is a rich brown (not reddish) mahogany that matches a rustic carved mahogany-framed mirrror already in place. The granite top is slightly lighter than shown in the photo and blends harmoniously with the Durango marble on the walls and floor. I recommend this purcchase to anyone looking to add an element of class to a powder room or smallish bathroom.

The last straw is that the sprayer now has developed a crack down the front, so whenever the water is turned on to the faucet, the sprayer starts spewing water out the crack. We have had it for less than two years and it started giving us quality issues within the first six months. No more-- we're going to replace it with something from a different company.

(More customer reviews)I used the 1 1/2in size to enlarge the hole in my granite counter top to accommodate a new hot water tap that replaced a soap dispenser. I first cut a 1 1/2in hole in a piece of plywood, taped it to the counter that drilled away while my wife sprayed cold water at the bit to keep it cutting smooth. All and all I would say the bit worked very good, great for the money.

(More customer reviews)Just put the top in last week, found the Pegasus faucet and about to install it in couple of days. Mine came with the black glass back splash, same material as the vanity. Clean, smooth and ultra modern. When with a light color maple cabinet to contrast the black vanity top.
Update: What a pain to install the faucet, even a Pegasus faucet at that. This is due to the custom drain tube required. A standard drain tube furnished with all the off the shelf faucets won't fit. It requires a non-overflow sink drain tube that no local stores has it in stock. It also requires a longer stopper arm as the sink hole and faucet hole is farther apart then standard sinks.
Oh yeah, add to the confusion, Pegasus faucets and Pegasus vanity sinks are two different entities under the same line but Home Depot sells and supports both. I'm about to go down to Home Depot to contact their bathroom designer to resolve this and special order a few more parts.
Degrade 4 to 3 stars for doing so much running around.

We call it "the swan" because it adds so much beauty to our little condo kitchen that we feel like we live in some very elegant home. We had a new stainless sink installed just to showcase this faucet. It works perfectly and although it may not be true, we feel that our faucet is envied by our friends and relatives. This would go well in a large elegant kitchen. You will love it. We hired a plumber to install it because we don't know how and don't want to learn (ignorance and apathy for plumbing - rampant), but I think he thought it was easy to install.

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these for sliding Alson shower heads on Alson grab bars mounted vertically in my new bathroom. These mounts are solid brass, unlike the visible part of the Grohe shower mount in my other bathroom, which is plastic. I prefer brass, although I'm not sure there is enough stress on the exterior of the unit that it matters. My plumber told me one of the mounts I bought had a missing adjustment screw and couldn't be installed. I called Alson's and they sent me a replacement right away. Both mounts seem to be working well after about a month of use, so far. Great product, great service!

(More customer reviews)Faucet design is a matter of taste, but I think this one is among the nicest looking in the same category of faucets. I am not a big fan of the feature that requires you to turn the water off and then back on to switch off the spray feature, but that's not a deal breaker for me. In terms of other features and performance, I have no complaints. I did have one easily resolvable problem though.
After owning the faucet for a little over a year, I started to expereince dripping under the sink, below the handle section. I think this is similar to the problem reported by a previous reviewer here who seemed to needlessly buy a whole new faucet as a result. I called Price Pfister about the problem and was very impressed with their customer service. When I called the 1-800 customer service number, I got through to an agent quickly and explained the problem. The agent said there is an easily replaceable cartridge that fits inside the handle, and this cartridge was the culprit of the leak. So they sent me an improved, redesigned cartridge (part #: 974-035) and a new brass retainer nut (part # 941-7110) to replace the older parts which originally shipped with the faucet. Since the faucet is covered under their 10 year warranty, these replacement parts were sent to me free of charge -- I paid just $5 for shipping and got them within a few days. Replacing this cartridge and retainer ring in the handle was extremely easy, and the instructions for doing this are included with the original faucet or they can be found on the Price Pfister web site. Replacing these parts does not involve getting under your sink. You just pop off the faucet handle after loosening with an allen wrench and then unscrew a retainer ring. The cartridge pulls right out (and be sure to pull out the washer too if that doesn't come up with the old cartridge). Problem solved.
As far as I can tell, comparable faucets are at least $100 more than this one, and in some cases they are not nearly as attractive. Unless the thought bothers you of possibly being out $5, for an easily replaceable part, and 5 minutes of your time, in the event this handle leak is even common, then I would definitely recommend this faucet. NOTE: I purchased this faucet a couple years ago, so it's possible that the improved cartridge ships with newly purchased faucets anyway.
I've never had an issue with the handle as one reviewer reported, but if I did I would not hesitate to call Price Pfister for a replacement part. Any faucet has the potential to break, and so a good warranty which allows for free replacement parts, good customer service and a design that allows for easy replacement by the customer are all pluses in my book.

(More customer reviews)If you order this item, you DO NOT receive a faucet which can be mounted as shown in the photo. It does not include the necessary hardware for installation without a large base plate. If you have a one or two-hole drilled sink, this unit will NOT work.
This faucet is also quite light-weight compared to similar units, and the sprayer feels like it might be made of tin foil. Still, for the price point, it is an attractive unit, the stainless finish is nice, and the warranty from Price Pfister is decent.
I can't comment on the function of the faucet, since I wasn't able to install it due to the issues stated here. It might bear more stars if I had been able to try it.

We bought this faucet last year at The Great Indoors. I installed it on our kitchen sink, but removed and returned it for a refund after 3 days. The faucet and spray mechanism worked perfectly. Unfortunately, the spray head's cheap-looking nylon hose was too short to reach anywhere near the bottom of our 10" deep double sink, which was very frustrating. In addition, the 1 lb. brass counterweight clamped to that hose (needed to pull the hose back into the faucet) hung up on the faucet bottom under the sink if the hose was pulled out "too far". You'd then have to push the hose back into the faucet with both hands, otherwise the hose would bend. More frustration. The final straw was that it was difficult to get the spray head to stay put in the faucet body, without "dangling" loose just a tad. Although not a show-stopper, the Danze was also more difficult to install than it should have been, because its input water feeds are too short to clear a 10" sink bottom, and the method to connect the hose to the bottom of the faucet was not well designed; i.e., it looked like it would eventually leak. We replaced the Danze with a Grohe satin Europlus II, which my wife loves.

(More customer reviews)This is the worst caulking product I've ever used - waste of time, waste of money, and potential damage to property. Someone should sue this company for making misleading statements about what this product can do.
I bought this and used this to seal the tub and tile surrounding the tub. Two days and a shower later, the caulk was cracking and peeling off. I thought I made a mistake, removed the caulk again, and do reapplied. This time, I gave it four days! What happened? Same thing. Now, I'm going to go get GE Silicone II and get this done with - I know that product really well; I used GE S II in a shower tub and it still goes on strong.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Rohl Country Bath collection about 5 years ago and made the very bad mistake of getting the polished nickel finish. These are extremely expensive fixtures. I have the bridge faucet, the tub faucet and hand shower and the entire shower group (temperature valve, volume valves for the rainhead shower and the hand held shower). Within about 2 weeks, the fixtures in the shower began to tarnish. Within two months, they looked like tarnished silver with water spots. I tried to clean and polish them with the suggested polish (Simichrome), but it made a HUGE mess and nearly ruined the tiles in the shower. It also did not work very well. Upon contacting Rohl, I was told to wash the fixtures with dilute dish soap and immediately dry after EVERY USE! So ridiculous! The sink and tub fixtures look better, but they are not constantly exposed to water. The sink drain looks like old aluminum, due to the effects of toothpaste. I was told that there is no defect in the finish. Seems that it will look great in a showroom, but don't use it or expose to water unless you have a full time staff to take care of it. Bad product and a very bad company, customer service wise.

It is sturdy and holds many products, I would think that most purchasers would need the large size unless there is only one person using the shower. Very easy to install but you do need a masonry drill bit. Anchors should have been provided, we had to purchase them. Other than that, it is a great product and gives a beautiful, sleek look to our Italian white marble shower!

(More customer reviews)I have an old kitchen sink in use as a utility sink in the basement. In the past, someone had installed boiler values as taps--intolerable--where a wall-mount faucet should have been. Unfortunately, wall-mount faucets are harder to find than I thought. And where you can find them, they are pricey. I was just looking for something basic. This was what I needed, and I'm glad I found it.
The faucet looks better than I needed it to. It's a good buy. BUT:
1. The spout on the faucet I received is different. The one in both Amazon's current picture and the picture on the box has a straight spout. The spout on the faucet I received is more curved and the treaded opening of the spout is more obliquely angled.
2. There are no instructions with the faucet, which is too bad, because you cannot install this without a 15/16" hex wrench. It really would have saved me a lot of time if that were indicated somewhere before I wanted to start.
