(More customer reviews)I am so happy with this faucet that I am inspired to take the time and submit this review - a big deal for a mother of 4 children ages 4 and under.
The water that comes out of this faucet is not aerated. That means less air in the water - which means less air in your baby's tummy when making baby bottles - and less air in the water when you want to fill a bucket with soapy water, (there are fewer bubbles taking up all the space in your bucket). It also means that you get a lot more water out and faster - so, I always use this faucet to fill our dog's water dish - because it fills up faster. I am less pleased with my more expensive Brizo faucet.
When you switch over to the spray, it really powerfully sprays the sink nice and clean yet doesn't sprinkle water all over you - like my Brizo faucet does.
The real stainless is very nice too - less water stains and finger prints on it.
Not a bad idea to go the extra expense of a nice faucet if you use your faucet often. Now if only I could get a nice motion sensor on my pantry light, my kitchen would be ideal.

(More customer reviews)We ordered this to replace a very old Delta faucet that had been leaking. Besides the Grohe quality, we wanted a faucet that would sit up higher than the old one -- it had been difficult to get our hands under the older, low-slung faucet.
If you're wondering about the size, the top of the arc on this faucet is just over 7 inches above the base, and the spout is 5 inches about the base. Many bathroom faucets are only 2 inches or so, which means this one will give you substantially more clearance if that is an issue for you. But it is not too large or too high to get in the way, at least in our bathroom.
The water controls themselves feel very solid. They turn easily with little force needed, but have a very smooth and crisp feel with a definite off position. Basically, the feel has exactly the kind of solid but effortless engineering you'd hope from Grohe.
Note that you must get faucet handles to accompany this set. We got the cross handles which look great, feel solid, and have a classy, sort of "retro" look. The drain assembly IS included with this set, so all you need is this set and handles of your choice.
We checked prices at several locations and Amazon was the best by a substantial margin, as of January 2011.
As for installation, I can't speak to that because we had a plumber install it for us, along with other work. However, he apparently had no difficulties. Also, he had highly recommended that we get a Grohe (or Moen or Delta) due to standardized and available parts, unlike some other high-end brands where any replacement part has to be specially ordered.

Of the dozen faucets of various makes and models installed, this is the first that has leaked internally. Once installed, water ran from within the unit and into the cabinetry. Removing the cartridge revealed no defect, and tightening was ineffective.

(More customer reviews)My mom had one of these on her sink for years and I loved it so I wanted one for my own house. She didn't have any issues with her. The water saving concept is awesome, but the one I received has a defective part. The "flipper" for the valve comes off. I can put it back on, only to have it fall off again, which is inconvenient, especially if it falls into the garbage disposal! I haven't returned it yet (I plan to in the next week or so), so I don't yet know how the return process will go or if I will get a replacement that has the same problem. If I can write another review down the road I most certainly will.

Delta Faucet RP330 Aerator Review

(More customer reviews)I love my Delta faucet but made the mistake of buying a generic aerator the last time from a local hardware store. That aerator never did work right and I determined to replace it with a Delta replacement which this happens to be.
Well it came in this morning and I installed it and am very pleased with its operation. How, one may ask, can one aerator work better than another? It so happens I can address that question; a good aerator creates a water stream that doesn't splash around, a bad one produces a stream of water that is deflected all around and can make a mess.
These aerators are definitely the good ones and produce a stream of water that doesn't splash around.
Just to be on the safe side I ordered two of them and now have one in reserve. It's surprising how difficult it can be to find a simple replacement locally.
I would also like to compliment Grady's Online for their prompt delivery; the order was placed on April 19th and came in today, April 22nd and that was with standard shipping!

KOHLER K-2211-G-96 Caxton Undercounter Lavatory, Biscuit Review

(More customer reviews)The quality and design are typical Kohler (first-class), but this unit comes without an overflow drain designed into it. So, you need to be sure you do not use a faucet set with a stopper. I guess you could use a plug or some such if you wanted to wash your socks, but if kids, stoners, etc. live in your house, an extremely expensive overflow accident could come your way if they got hold of the stopper. I can't imagine why they left this out, as it could only cost a few bucks in manufacturing expense, and the sink is pretty inexpensive already.
UPDATE: I called Kohler customer service, and they were utterly clueless. They told me they made no under-mount sink with an overflow drain, even after checking with a "supervisor".
Today at Home depot I found a Model 2210, same size, with a drain. And cheaper. Caveat emptor!

Leda Vasque Semi Recessed Sink Finish: White Review

The Vitreous china quality is cheap and I see lines on the sink already after less than a year. The drain also sits much lower than where the sink and the drain area ends, causing water to always stay on the bottom by the drain, due to a poor design and detail of this sink. The style is clean and pretty, but I will definitely be going back to Kohler or other brands when it comes to bathroom sinks and toilets.

Danze D446232 Parma Toilet Paper Holder, Chrome Review

(More customer reviews)We have a very small bathroom, and I wanted to put shelves over the toilet. Unfortunately, this did not leave enough room for the "spring loaded" toilet paper holder. That needed at least 10 inches of wall space. This holder has only once central mount, and was able to fit in the same location as the old holder without the same space requirement.
It does take a little "learning" to pull just a little paper without sending the roll spinning, but once you get that, you'll be fine.
My one negative experience with this is that our air conditioning blows directly on the roll, and because the two ends of the roll are not "enclosed" the breeze will slowly unravel the entire roll into the toilet bowl. :(
Pros:
* Good looking fixture
* Easy to install
* Small Footprint (can be used where you might otherwise need a floor stand.)Cons:
* Subject to breezes (see above)
* Need to "learn" how to just get a couple sheets of paper.

Danze D490650BN Touch-Toe Bath Drain Conversion Kit, Brushed Nickel Review

(More customer reviews)One of the major reasons we installed this (and other brushed nickel trim) is because it would theoretically reduce water spotting. The shower head doesn't spot. The spigot and faucet trim doesn't spot. Unfortunately both this kit and the brushed nickel safety grab bar (not by Danze) both do take on water spots. There is little we can do about the grab bar - it is solidly and safely attached against the tiles without damaging them. Not to mention I doubt the next grab bar would match the screw holes. This trim kit on the other hand, can and might be replaced.
That said, it works just fine and the price beat the prices of other brushed nickel trim kits. You get what you pay for I suppose. In the end it will come down to whether or not my folks (this was part of their bathroom remodel) care enough to spend the money on a better trim kit.

I had it for about 5 years, the stainless steel version, it was getting harder to make it pivot and one day it stopped pivoting completely. Big crumbles of rust were falling under the sink that made me thought it was the mounting bracket that was rotting since it was covered with rust.
It wasn't it was the bearing washer inside the faucet, it rusted away in crumbles, so the faucet stopped pivoting.
There shouldn't be a problem, after all it is a pricey MOEN faucet right?
Well here is where MOEN show what they are. I wrote them asking for the part because I wasn't able to see it in the parts explode view they have in their web site. I got the answer the next day and it got me astonished:
"The part you described in your email is referred to as a bearing washer bracket and this part is crucial to the faucet's ability to swivel side to side. Unfortunately this part is not available for purchase as an individual part; it is only available when a full faucet is purchased."
Now I have a faucet that is in good shape except for the "bearing washer" and since they don't sell it I have to buy a new faucet. Moreover, the piece in question rusted away in crumbles!!! this means that they are using inferior materials in a faucet that with no doubt's will be in a humid environment.
I could have a bad product but at least I should be able to purchase the parts to repair it instead of having to but a new faucet.

(More customer reviews)Excellent sink, beautiful, solid... everything you'd expect from Kohler (and delivered prompty by amazon, and at a nice amazon price that beats any local places). Only two notes that may be of issue...
First, the sink does not have an overflow hole (but those things can't prevent an overflow if the water is left on full blast with the drain closed anyways)... we don't miss it.
Secondly (and more of an issue), the drain hole is positioned in the center of the sink (front to back), not near the back (faucet side) like most standard sinks. A standard rod for the drain stopper control (the part that connects to the ball socket in the drain pipe directly under the drain that controls the drain stopper) is not long enough to reach back of the sink to meet the rod that comes down from the faucet. (The rod from the faucet I installed was also too short, but they make extensions for those... but I can't find an extension for the rod that comes out from the pipe.) So, depending on your hardware and arrangement, (and assuming there's not something out there that addresses this that I have not found yet), you may need to figure out (jury-rig) something to allow the drain stopper control to get hooked up.
